I am an immigrant from Venezuela with a dream of going to college and obtaining a career, but because of my status, it has been a challenge to pursuit it. I am here to ask for your help.
I never realized my disadvantages until I started High School and learned that my opportunities were limited. For instance, it has been difficult for me to plan for college because I can’t take the traditional route everyone else is taking.
For the past 10 years, my mother has gone from being an interior architect designer in Venezuela to cleaning other people’s houses so that she could put food on our table. But living paycheck to paycheck with limited job opportunities, it has been a challenge for us, especially to afford our residency. And now with the recent pandemic, it has been an even bigger challenge.
As of now, we have been approved for our residency, but we still need to pay for the application and various other processes that are required in order to receive it. It would mean the world to me if you can help my mother and I finally become US residents by providing financial support, as this will open up more opportunities and allow us to finally live a normal life.
This amount will help cover for court, lawyer, application, medical, and other expenses required for my mother and me to receive our residency.
Even a small donation could help reach the fundraising goal. And if you can’t make a donation, it would mean everything if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
